📧 Email Updates & Marketing — and how to switch them off
We may send you occasional emails about new features, app updates and announcements, using the email address from your Google Sign-In.
This is enabled by default when you create an account. You can turn it off at any time, from inside the app:
You can switch it back on from the same place whenever you like. Every marketing email we send also carries this instruction at the bottom.
Turning it off does not stop essential service email — support replies, purchase receipts and account-security notices — which we must still be able to send you.
We do not sell, rent or share your email address with third parties.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and profile picture, from Google Sign-In — for authentication and your profile.
- Reading progress, journal entries, mood logs and app usage, to personalise your experience and track your growth.
What we never collect
- Payment card details — handled entirely by Google Play.
- Precise location, contacts, or data from other apps on your device.
Your journal and mood data
Journal notes and mood logs are stored privately on secure servers. They are never shared with other users, third parties or our own team. Only you can see them.
Community reflections
Reflections you choose to post publicly are visible to other users. You can delete any reflection at any time.
Advertising
Free-tier users see banner ads served by Google AdMob, which may collect device advertising identifiers, IP address and usage data to serve ads. Premium users are completely ad-free. You can opt out of personalised ads in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Third-party services
The app uses Google Play Services, Google Sign-In, Google AdMob and RevenueCat (for subscriptions). See policies.google.com/privacy.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data at any time. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may also withdraw consent for optional processing — the Email Updates toggle above is exactly that control for marketing email.
Account & data deletion
Email support@gitaforgrowth.com with the subject “Delete My Account”. We process deletion requests within 7 business days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
